I am so sad
I just want to cry
Everything is hurting inside me
And I don’t know why
My soul is so dark
Cold and gray
I feel like my friends
Are a thousand miles away
Now tomorrow may be a new day
But tonight
Tonight I can’t stop the pain

The cold winter months are like that. And the holidays often amplify the feelings. But it will pass. It will get better. "This too shall pass." So I say what Isabelle above said. Concentrate on good memories and close your eyes & think of being in a Summer like, or a warm, tropical place. Imagine that you & your friends are right there together. Even pray for them as a way to connect you & them.
