I learned to sew when I was 8 on a Singer just like this. I sewed my own clothes through high school in it and when my kids were born, I sewed their clothes with it. In 1979 we were hit by a huge flood and the Singer fell victim to the flood waters. I miss it terrible. Wonderful shot filled with good memories.

I still have a 1938 Singer which I learned on, but my Husqavarna is even better as I can embroider with it!

This is a most excellent capture my friend. :)))) This brings memories back of my grand mother on my moms side. :)))) She had one of these in a table stop stand and all of us grand kids would go and push that pedal until we got it going so fast, and she would come and ask us not to do that bc she still used it. :))))) Thank you my friend for taking me back to special memories. :))))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :)))))

Love the old sewing machines, and I'd collect them if I had the $$$$. I do have a New Home treadle that I'm fixing up. I really like sewing machines and old clocks, glass, and stuff like that. :c)
