As we get closer to Christmas the days at work are getting busier and busier. We have had 3 deaths in the past week. There is not a good time of year to die, but unfortunately when it happens right at Christmas like this, it tends to leave the surviving family with some less than happy Christmas memories for years to come.
All we can do, is help make sure the patients are as comfortable as possible and work to help them and their family cope as best as they can. Dealing with death and dieing for some people can be overwhelming, but I have also been blessed to sit with some very remarkable people who had accepted the envitable and were totally at peace with what was to come.

The representation of souls rising beyond Earth is a realization of the circle of life. Awesome job Jim. The strength one gains at the news of near death is beyond words and accepting the final and last stage has to be less overwhelming with someone like you to give them comfort. Death of a loved one is always sad news for surviving family and friends,and it does somehow seem to be intensified during the Holiday Season. Jim I can testify what a wonderful kind,compassionate and caring person you are. You are a very special person,and any of your residence and family that you stand by in the final stages are very fortunate.
