A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

Super action shot.

Fantastic capture. What a lovely little bird. Birds are so fragile, and yet they survive the most difficult conditions. Amazing wonders they are.

I love the wingspread...beautiful!

I agree. It is very much an action shot of a beautiful bird, with just the right amount of sharpness where it is needed.

What it lacks in sharpness is made up for with interest!

And I agree with you! I love the mixture of fuzziness and sharpness on the wings! I'm working on a serie that includes both. Makes the shot even more alive! That split second captured for ever in a still image! Beautiful! Just an idea though, have you tried flipping the image, just so the empty space behind the bird would be on the left instead of the right of the image, knowing that the eyes, in our culture, work from left to right. Know what I mean? Just an idea ;) Great capture nonetheless! :))
