Description
This is one Molcajete, a mortar made of volcanic stone (There is a lot of this stone here)
My Mayan and Pipilian ancestors used it to grind small amounts of food, making gravies and sauces mixes. The volcanic stone adds a special flavor to foods. (At least we think so)I hope you like it!!!

That's pretty cool, having a mortar and pestle made from volcanic rock! Looks like you've been using it to burn incense.

No, it's cinnamon, that we use to mix with corn to make porridge I don't know what the yellow thing is.

Thank you for sharing this, Neto. It looks so interesting, and I would like to taste thinks which have been in this mortar. I love lava stones for in our garden, to let grow cacti and succulents in it.

I have one my family purchased from the Museum of Natural History many years ago in a sale they had of overstocked exhibits. I treasure it and it works very well. Nice shot.
