Scanned from a 4X6 Matte finish photo.
It dawned on me that the POV for the previous images are all pointed upward, not really giving a sense of what ground level looks like. So here is an image of what it looked like hiking the wash at eye level on the approach to an area called "The Queens castle". The hike started at about 6300 feet(1920m) in elevation and the rim is an approximate 8300 feet(2530m) here. It was a full day hike from sun up to sun down reaching the rim and back to Tropic. It's been many moons since then but remember it being a little over 15 miles(25km)

must have been quite chilly there.the first time I went there it had been in the low teens but was in the mid 20's when I arrived.did not feel to bad since the sun was shining.beautiful capture

Queen's Castle is a good name for it. They definitely look like towers and battlements. Superb image. Excellent composition. So, 15 miles and a 2,000 foot elevation? I better start training.
