I actually decided to try and make an image based on the fictional world I created that I write in. Kind of inspired by adorety here on Renderosity. He's doing some really cool stuff, posting images and a huge portion of story that goes with them. Well, this isn't quite the same. As I do have stuff about this place written, and more to come, but probably won't be posted here--at least not anytime soon. Though the image is kind of incomplete. This is the Norvid Fens, a vast northern swamp just south of the Norvid Forest, which is itself a vast expanse of redwoods. Both the swamp, the forest, and the farming land north of that are called the Norvid Belt. All of that is bordered on the east and west by mountain ranges. This has left their land fairly isolated. However, to complete this image, I need to model a stone causeway, some intact, some in ruins, built a thousand years or more prior, by the Calamosians, who endeavored to conquer the lands north of the Norvid Belt, and failed. This image looks south. The two mountain ranges nearly converge there, the gap but a handful of miles across. South of that are two countries, that share a border. It is contested land, the Nifrinese to the south, and to the west, Andinus. At some point I really would like to start visualizing my world, that has been building in my head for nearly twenty years. Gods, it's been a long time :P Anyways, nothing much to look at. But for me, pics like this bring the sound of water, the buzzing of mosquito or gnats, the chirping of crickets, the throaty twang of a bullfrog, birds taking to the air, and the creaking of the evergreens. Oh, and of coarse the wing through the reeds. Not a fun place to trek through. :P Okay, I'm rambling. Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoy! Cheers
