according to the Mayan calendar many people had the idea that the 21st of December would be the beginning of the end of the world.

Great looking image Richard. Dec 12th next year is when the Myans predict the world will end. the date will be 12/12/12. I'm not sure why that date is so important other than it looks like a cool number, but I guess we will know by this time next year if they were right.

Excellent shot! I was watching a documentary on that last night actually and they were under the same opinion I am, the creator of the calendar simply put down his chisel and said, "Ahhh, that's far enough. They'll continue it when the time comes." lol It'll definately be an interesting year. This year, we had an 11/11/11 next year 12/12/12, if we have a 13/13/13, we're gone.
