Description

A start at a full USS Yorktown hanger scene with planes, tools, engines etc and later the Navy mechanics. Took the available Grumman Wildcat and cut her wings off to rebuild the folding type she had. Have also removed the cowling, engine and prop, and made a dummy piping system to add to the hanger ceiling. Steelrazer tells me that Epics Soldiers will work fine for the Navy personnel. Lots to do on texturing, more detail and I need to find my textures for the Destroyer. Then there's the sea that will need wakes etc. Yorktown and the radial engine and carriage are available on Cornucopia and I even think my Victorian Dentist chair will be up this weekend... oh goody.. lets pull some teeth.

Do you find time for resting? You're a stakhanovite modeller!

Er,... looks like a photo, but the Yorktown was sunk during WWII at Midway. So, the only conclusion I can draw is that this must be a 3D graphics image. In other words, excellent work! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :-)

It would make a great idea for a museum- recreate the hangar deck of a carrier- complete with noise, pandemonium etc. Thats looking so real already, its going to be incredible when its finished!
