Captured 12/22/11, early in the morn, somewhere within the vast perimeter of my neighborhood.
Much better contrast and detail in ZOOM.
Yes, we still get rose blooms even in late December.
Actually, very sunny with temperatures in the high 70s Fahrenheit forecast for Christmas day.

What a perfect beauty this one is, Harry; great capture letting us see the detail of those lovely little drops of moisture on the petals. And that weird winter weather is what I could never stand about Southern California; it just doesn't seem right to be that warm on Christmas!

We finally got some cooler and wetter weather for Christmas. Though we are still in a drought, the rain is a gift for us after last summer. Beautiful rose and capture! Wonderful detail of the water drops. I like all the buds circling the main rose and its soft pink color. Lovely image!
