Biographical Information:
Very little information is available if a profile search goes back beyond five standard years. Ni'Lani Nightflyer seems to have sprouted, full grown, into the records with no previous information regarding childhood life, home planet/town. Medical history, or any other documentation.
What is known is that she is a well known Archeological Trader, with a reputation for being fair and honest in her business dealings. She will never "adjust" a price, up or down, once the price has been set. She is able to procure just about any item requested, but she specializes in pre-Empire Jedi or Sith artifacts and materials. Since these items are restricted and illegal to possess, they are coveted by many of the more affluent members of society, private collectors and scoundrels, and support a flourishing underworld trade market.
She is also a latent Forrce Sensitive, and as such, fell under the pervue of Executive Order 66. She has devoted a great deal of time and effort concealing her gifts until she discovers a way to "cure" it. Since she lacks any proper training, she is subject to what could only be described as "Force Flashes", (moments when she inadvertently or instinctively manipulates the Force).
In order to acquire the material she needed to address her situation, she developed a way to copy recovered data of any medium without creating the tell tale trace logs on the originals. She recovers specific artifacts, holocrons, abandoned data cores,or ancient leather bound tomes. In the case of ancient books, she painstakingly authenticates, investigates, and scans each page of the material, searching for hidden material of many types, creating an incredibly complete and detailed virtual library.
With electronic or holographic media, she copies the information onto a secondary data core. Once she is satisfied that she has gleaned all the available information, she sells the originals at a profit, the purchaser never aware that his "one of a kind" illegal artifact has, in fact, been copied.
Her primary library is set up in her home on Lok, with a back up copies hidden in her safe locations and aboard her ship, the Mystic Fate. The sheer volume of information and artifacts in her possession is enormous.
It has even occurred that solicitors have contracted her to find items that she has already recovered. In those cases, she simply verifies her copies and then proceeds with the transaction.
Over the past few years she has created a small, trustworthy network of contacts on several planets. These individuals will usually assist her in tracking down items, brokering sales, following up on leads, or simply verifying the legitimacy of a potential client.
Shortly after her twenty-second birthday, she discovered a pair of ancient light saber casings, and despite her revulsion for her Force Sensitive abilities, she held on to the weapons with the hopes of selling them.
When her attempt to sell them failed, she kept them and has begun teaching herself how to restore them to working order.
After some research, she then discovered that the two casings in her posession were, in fact, Darksabres. These were prototype weapons designed by Sith researchers as an answer to the traditional Lightsabers. In the end, only two prototypes were constructed before the Sith abandoned the project.
After a year of painstaking research and several failed attempts, the two weapons were resurrected.
