Description

Lets call this one "Dreams in the Attic. Little Andreas was invited to his godfathers place, and as this was also his fathers birthplace the house was fairly old,and had lots of treasures for the little devil. One day he came upon the attic, his cousin forgot to lock the tiny door, almost invisible this door was, as it was in a corner and had the same tapisserie than the walls. And what a world he discovered,Tonzz of books, lots of them illustrated.wow……..this was the place where he would spend most of his vacation from now on.all his heroes became alive as he started reading and his imagination took over the control. Another chapter out of my childhood,I remember beeing in my godhathers place ( my fathers brother ) ,when I was 5-6 years old.there I got at least no beatings*,as my fathers brother was occupied beating his own wife lol( sad but true ) ,anyway I discovered a whole new world.i stumbled in the attic upon a ton of “illustrated classics”as they where called,I read ivanhoe, robin hood, treasure island, later on charles dickens and others when I was fairly young.and I spend a lot of time in the attic, maybe my fathers sister in law was glad that I was a quiet child and occupied with myself, she always made fine cooking and lots of times she gave me an extra chocolate, very nice woman indeed. Maybe that was the gift to me,as it shaped my brains and in the same time I was able to flee reality, along with the ability of writing and reading I was one of the best scholars indeed (no bragging).later on my father opened me his own library and I learned a lot reading history etc. I think when I was 6 santa decided to give me only books for xmas and not stupid robots and plastic toy weapons to shoot around and make noise-lol. I later had my phase in life when I played with robots and soldiers in my egoshooters…on the PC…..hehehe,and today I play daz studio And I still “steal”me an hour per day to read a real book “paper” you know??lol. By the way I saw this kindle ebook reader on the adds, anyone has experience with this gadget?? * one time my fathers mother slapped me that was the first and only time I ever saw the fat cow.i never forget it,and who knows what happened to my father in his youth.this shall not be an excuse for him,but helps me understand why he became the person he was later. thumb_2280616.jpghref> Andreas by Leije, merci beaucoup. Great scene, Rene - and it is telling how important the imagination is - also for a lost child. This like the former upload about your childhood goes straight to my heart and we have a lot of similarities in life. I didn't have a violent or alcoholic related childhood but I grew up in almost ignorance from my parents and three older sisters. My parents hasn't much if anything to talk about and was two immature beings. I felt lost and unhappy but I have my own world with readings and fantasies and start to write when I was 11 years old. I was hungry for knowledge - mayby because I learned nothing from home and felt lost in my youth - so I spend a lot of time of reading and searching for all kinds of stuff I could find. I tried to live a "normal" life but the more creative was me. So I found "crazy" people like me and used my writing to making movies, videos and alike for fun and got a drama education and get my own little theater for a while. By chance I found a free program on the net - DAZ! And I have been stucked ever since! Great place - great people! Compared to other - most others - you uploads often make people to think and talk about other things, Rene. An artist and creative person uses his or hers own personal stuff to a certain degree. Art is to discipline it to some extent. Art is communication and sometimes also very entertaining! You master both! Thanks for sharing your creative mind and thoughts, Rene! Merry Christmas! Great render, Rene, and a wonderful look into your childhood. As many here have said, it has made you stronger, and more understanding than many. I applaud you, my friend! It has been so long since I actually sat down and read a book - I really need to follow your example and set aside an hour a day for reading.
