Description
This was taken on the outskirts of Chard a few years ago, I thought it might be nice as a Christmas card to all in Renderosity. The building is an old 'Toll House' where you would have to pay tolls to use the road which would have been a dirt track in those days.

My kind of subject...this would make a great Then and Now shot if you could find an old photo of this place while still active...1910s-20s maybe? I understand the toll...somebody was dragging something over the dirt road suface frequently with horses or oxen to keep the road passable. Must have been a couple of gates there at one time. And Merry Christmas back to you:)
