My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Thank you Clive. Must say i do enjoy the reflection in the window. I heard from others that the Cape weather is very unpridictable. We had clear Sky's and very hot days through out the week that we were in Roberson and surrounding areas as well as in Cape town.I heard from the bus driver when we were on Chapmans peak that it was closed the previous week. My sister in law also said that they still had miserable weather the week before we arrived visiting them. Saw so much. Even went on a boat ride at Houtbay. Picture of Cape Town will follow later. O yes do not park where you are not allowed to park in Cape Town. I had to pay a fine for 2 cars which had been clamped. The Cape is an amazing sight to see and I would like to return visiting and who knows even live in one of those small towns in the Western Cape. Wonderful capture and a wonderful moment after meeting Clive and his 2 children. God Bless.
