Description

This image is a satire spin regarding the events transpiring back in September 2011. DC comics rebooted their entire universe and nobody was safe...even the big "three" i.e. (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman) EVERYONE got a new history, look and attitude. Superman no longer wears the red trunks and now wears a Teflon suit (why? he's invulnerable!), and additionally more aggressive. The Batmen global franchise is now gone (thankfully). Wonder Woman (much to my horror) has retractable pants and now has a father. Zueus apparently raped her amazon queen mother. Wonder Woman was forced to marry Aquaman as an arranged marriage to bring peace between the two kingdoms. (How lame is that?!) My favorite character Donna Troy aka "Troia" was originally the first Wondergirl and one of the original five members of the Teen Titans. She also is Wonder Woman's sister. This new universe has it as she never existed much to my dismay! (There are many others that disappeared....trust me!) One of the popular story lines over the years with the Teen Titans comic was "Who is Donna Troy?" Her past was never easy to explain regarding her origins and powers. The "powers" that be and writers always liked playing with that notion, and would on occasion rewrite her past. This was mainly to attempt fixing loop holes with her past and boost sales since fans of the "Titans" gorged after it. (I'm guilty as well, but adding mainly the premise of "what are they going to do to the poor thing now?) My image is depicting both Wonder Women; old and new, and playing with the old story line. "Who...(wait a minute!) Where is Donna Troy?" Are you seeing and hearing this DC/Warner Brothers? I stab at thee! (said the foolish naive throwing the rock at the moon) lol Hope you like it...this image is right up there on my list of favorites I've done and take pride in it!

Why does Superman wear a teflon suit... easier to wash?? Stain resistant?? Excellent magazine cover, even if it's a parody!

Almost always been a DC fan first and foremost (eclipse briefly during the 80's). Thought their relaunch was a bit "goofy" in it's execution. I'll keep buying but a lot of fun has gone out of the reading for me. Great render and great gallery very glad I stopped in for another peek.
