Description

a very Merry Christmas was had by all...as you can see by Aries pulling his treats from his stocking. Aries is an old dog so he doesn't play with toys anymore but he loves his little treats. When he is finished eating his food or treats he comes over to me, lays his head on my leg and presses down as tho he is giving me a hug and thats preceded or followed by great big kisses. I love that dog, he may not be mine but he loves me as much as he loves his owner. It took awhile for the landlord to evict the people from this house so we lived on sheer nerves until the 14th of Dec., in fear of being sat on the street with our belongings. Finally on the 13th the landlord called and said we could move in on the 14th, WHEW! We were lucky to get a truck that next day, and even luckier that we got everything in two loads and the truck back before we had to pay for an extra day. It seems universe was watching out for us:-) The only real problem we had after moving was getting my internet. I had placed the order on the 12th of Dec and was assured that I would have it by the 16th. The wierdest thing happened...the woman that took the order lied! She said she had trouble putting the order into the system so could not give a confirmation number, that she would call me the next day to confirm and give the details. She didn't call and on the 14th I couldn't call because of the moving so the morning of the 15th I called, the order had not been placed! And they said that the old service was still on and that I would not have internet until the 9th of Jan. I argued and argued with the woman that it was Verizon's mistake and that it was totally unfair that they would not help me and expedite the service. So I asked to speak to a supervisor but'there were none available'. So I told her I expected a phone call back that day from one or they would lose a long time customer. They didn't call! So I called again, got the same run around and again I threatened to leave them if they didn't get me a supervisor to talk to and get this mess cleared up. Finally about 2pm on the 22ndthe supervisor called me and I explained the whole thing to her again, she promised to call me back in a little while and didn't but somehow the info got to the manager of Verizon and she called me. She was angry that they had put me thru this and my serice was turned on that night about 7pm BUT! there was a problem with the line at the house so they would have to send a technician out. I told the guy he better expedite it because the manager had set this up for me. The techs were out here an hour later, WOO HOO!!! So I am finally online but am still unpacking so not much time for anything. However, I wanted to let you know we are moved and settling in. The maintenance man is out looking for a job, the dog is out in the backyard and loving it. We have no snow which I am forever grateful for and I can finally breath and catch up on some much needed rest in between unpacking boxes. The miracle of my anonymous benefactor will stay in my heart and mind and my promise to him/her to pay it forward will be fullfilled to the very best of my ability. I hope you all had a warm and wonderful holiday and Alex and I send you love, light and peaceful wishes for a shining new year. Last but not least, many thanks to those of you who sent me Christmas cards and wishes, they were all beautiful!!!

I'm SO happy to hear all your good news! Aries looks like a sweetie, and doesn't seem to mind that his stocking says "meow" on it. :P LOL! I'm sure Mandy wouldn't care either. Anything with a treat in it is good with her! Good for you for persevering with Verizon! You'll never believe this, but we had a similar experience with them being irresponsible about returning telephone calls. Isn't that amazing??? SUCH a coincidence! I hope this means we'll see you frequently, my friend. May 2012 be your best year ever!

Darling picture, love it! Also love hearing that things are finally going in the right direction for you - hope the New Year brings you much joy, peace and contentment. Love & hugs -- Susan P.S. I did send a card to the Shonnard St address, but it came back - I'd thought they would forward it. Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and Alex.
