Description
Experimenting with my new camera (D300) and something I haven't done before. Capturing droplets splashing.
So how did I set this up? A frying pan to give me a black background. Fill it up. Put it under a dripping fosset. Used the macrosetting on my 70-300 Sigma Super Macro II.
I used the my SB-600 off-camera to light it from behind.
Postprocessing in Lightroom with some colorbalance play.

Wonderful and clear! I hope to try doing these sometime. Congrats on the D300! That's what I have been using for my last 56,000 photos and I still love that camera! It takes a while to really get to know it. My suggestion is to learn how to use the +/- control very soon, many go for years without knowing anything about it, but it will serve you very well to know hoe to use it, so try it out if you haven't already!
