"Wondering Where The Lions Are"*** While driving the other day I could see the approaching snow storm and gale force winds that accompanied it. Sun's up, uh huh, looks okay The world survives into another day And I'm thinking about eternity Some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me I had another dream about lions at the door They weren't half as frightening as they were before But I'm thinking about eternity Some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me The joys of white knuckle winter driving... *** Sorry the lyrics were by Bruce Cockburn and were accidently omitted!!

Astounding scenery. I don't know about lions, but the sunlight coming through the clouds is nothing short of amazing. Very beautiful image.

This is such a beautiful view my friend. :))))))) Sorry to hear that you have been having bad dreams. :( I never can remember my dreams. :)))) I must have dreamed something was after me though last nite bc when I woke this morning I was farther down in the bed . LOL!!!! I am wishing you a nite of sweet dreams my friend. :)))))) This image is excellent in each and every way. :))))) I too understand about he white knuckles in the winter time. LOL!!!! I like this shot. The cool grey colors, the moody, ominous sky and the way the highway just falls away from view. And of course the pure emptiness of the place.

A sky that says "Best get to where you're going soon!" Lovely poem you've chosen to caption this, very evocative in metaphors~ Where is it from, I don't recognize it but I can certainly relate to it. Yeah, winter driving is not one of my fav things to do and it does make one think of mortal possibilities. One icy evening several years back it took me a harrowing 5 hrs to drive home from work in Nashville, a distance of 35 miles that normally takes about an hour. Stay safe and warm! =)
