There is so much history there, something that I really enjoy. Lots of photo ops too. I like the people there for a sense of scale, Clive

Awesome on the zoom. The age and history of this building just blows my mind. Over here, 50 years old is ANCIENT!

Now this is truly something to stop and marvel at! How extremely mysterious are these remains, and in fact I will read up about this a little more, as it is rather intriguing! Excellent perspective, and I like how you've even got some of the road here, to show the placement and wherein exactly it was built! A fascinating find!

I agree! What a wonderful place to explore! The history and its destruction during the Civil War is very interesting too. It's amazing that they discovered the pelican as late as 2008. I never knew about the legends in ancient times about pelicans or that early Christians saw them as a symbol of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Excellent capture! Great POV, which shows its massive size. It looms very effectively right now. How much more imposing it must have been before it was destroyed. It would be marvelous to live near it and see the ruins in all types of light and weather, though rain and blustery wind, could dampen enthusiasm a bit.
