Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Fantastic shot and a beautiful piece of Art!

Although I bet they would draw lots of attention if you wore them with the pruners and poobags. Nicely captured.

nice ...

Very nice and artful to boot!

I don't know about bracelets, but, although gaudy as they appear, they sure suggest two parts of a brassiere to me. Possibly something Madonna or Lady Gaga would wear to arouse the audience. Otherwise, excellent image, Andrea.

If that's a knuckle duster you have pretty odd gangsters down your way.

At first glance I thought it was a crazy bra too.

Very odd looking bracelet. It is quite beautiful but not like any braclet I ever saw.

Never saw a bracelet like this one, and I'd find a use for the rhinestones in it for sure. ;c)

Hmm, I should open a stall and sell rhinestone-embellished poo bags....I am always drawn to this kind of sparkly stuff, but I also wouldn't wear it.

Excellent pic Those stones sure are shiny:) Hugs Susan~

Wouldn't have guessed it was a bracelet, but very beautiful!

Stunning capture Andrea. God Bless.

I can't even see how they can be used as bracelets unless that expands when you put your hand in. I'd say its best use is a photo prop, but what do I know?

I can't figure out the bracelet thing, either. How on earth does one wear such a thing? I love the bling, and want to look at it and play with it and hold it and then leave it there for the next person's amusement. Beautiful stuff!

Wonderful, love it,

My personal opinion is, that it looks more like a belt-buckle, I have seen similar attachments like that on belts ... but you would know best, maybe we can see the rest or the back of it ? But it's your colour Andrea ? - mauve/purple would certainly suit or match most of your wardrobe ? ;) and it's also something I would love to collect, it's gorgeous! BB

Not for me would weigh me down but then i could use that on a windy day here something to hold me down to the ground lol but it is charming.

Interesting image! Great shot! :)

Is it my imagination, or does it look a wee bit like a bra? Okay, maybe not a very comfortable bra, but it has a kind of...um...mammary-inspired symmetry to it. Having said that, I'll have to say that it's quite a nice bit of bling although it's not in the traditionally-garish bling colors. What details! I can't say I'd wear it or associate with anyone wearing it, but as June Carter-Cash once said, (of an award she'd received,) I don't know what it is, but it sure is pretty!

Let's cut them in half...they'd make great sword hilts. I can see The Three Musketeers dueling with rapiers so adorned...:)
