Description

You know those times when something just tells you to grab your camera? I had one of those today as I was getting ready to return to work from my lunch break. At first I ignored it, but I looked out the window before I reached the door, and here this beauty sat enjoying his/her lunch...so I heeded that inner voice and was able to sneak a shot of this beautiful beast. My neighbor had said that she has seen it pass through her yard several times, but hadn't got a shot, so I felt fortunate that it decided to stop awhile in our yard. I do feel bad for the rabbit that was lunch (at least that's what the leftovers appeared to be!), but such is life. Take care, thanks for the visit, and I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year! :o) ~A P.S. I'm flagging violence because of the rabbit bits...it kinda grossed me out. I know, I know, it's the circle of life, but still... ;o)

What a beauty. I've seen foxes several times, but only for a few moments and never long enough to capture with camera. Very clear and great shot.

The fox looks a bit worried you might want to join it for lunch! A wonderful portrait!

Excellent shot! I read an article about reaserch that has been done about domesticating foxes. It said that it was very possible for them to be domesticated as we have done with dogs. I would want one if that comes to be someday. Thought I would not give him any rabbits. :-)

A fox is very cunning and strength of nature always wins. Nice catch. Happy New Year ((5 + +)) Un renard c'est très rusé et la force de la nature l'emporte toujours . Belle prise . Bonne Année Nouvelle ((5++))
