I have a personality which is quite divided. A short attention span and a depression which has plagued me for years is something I struggle with every day. Doing 3d art here allows me to focus on and do something creative other than a stupid job I work at for money. I have a cat named Flynx who is my best friend and even though he is aging knows me better than most people. I don’t think there is quite a cat like him. There no one special in my life though There once was. I like making pictures that reflect a person I would like to be like or would like to be with and there is no chance of that. I continue to exist and I suppose that should be enough for now.

So sorry to hear about your job. I hope that this opens the door to something better! Hoping the best for you and your coworkers! Is the shirt on the figure here from the Veranil collection? Is it a custom texture? Fantastic image, character, and pose!

I feel your pain and uncertainty. In Januuary, 2009, I got sacked after over 20 years with the County. Beforehand, I had a glimmer of a warning from my manager but the day of the termination, our floor was swarming with sheriff's officers. They escorted me into this interview office and dropped the news on me. Of course, I was shocked beyond words. At some level deep down, I had to have known it was coming, but when I actually heard the words, I wasn't really able to process them at the time. Since then, I was rehired by the County after a two month hiatus. My wages were essentially cut in half. I lasted in that job till this past February. Stayed long enough to max out my county retirement, but that isn't enough to live on. Luckily, I am 62 now, so I get a litte from Social Security, but when you take health insurance out every month, there isn't much left. So, I have managed to get by this past year, but am thinking I will have to go the route we used to joke about when I was still working, being a greeter some place, or carry my tin cup at some of the busier intersections. So yes, I feel your pain. It sounds like you have options at least. That is encouraging. In these troubling times, even the flimsiest looking strings can mean the most. I will keep you in my thoughts prayers and wish you all the best for your future. Take care, my friend. I have a feeling that with your magnificent talents, you will succeed in whatever direction the future has in store for you! Best of luck! Yes, this is a most delightful work of art as well! I love your use of the kittys! They are always such a nice touch to any artwork.

Know how you feel T...been there this year as well, but managed to find another post fairly quickly. The best thing is to try and look on the positive side, one door closes, another opens. I now it's difficult but keep your chin up. Hope things work out for you :-)

Oh my dear! What a pitty! In our Western countries we all often make the mistake to define ourselves by our work. ... but - possibly this helps a bit mentaly: YOU ARE SO MUCH MORE! You are a superb artist who stil develops so much. Simply looks at your last years result! Certainly I know the difference between the US and my good old Germany but I am shure a man with your creativeness will find something new. This could be something totally different from your last job! Really! Think through your life and ask yourself: "What did I always want to do but was too afraid of realizing?" There is something, isn't it? Then figure out the paths to start. God gave you your creativeness! Not anybody has this abilities. not to forget your sense for feelings and other people. All the best, my dear friend! ... and good, better, best luck! Yours Bernie

Couldn't have seen it at the time, but getting laid off after 25 years with the same company ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me...not necessarily the easiest, but definitely THE BEST

Oh, i know this situation... Many, many people in my country have fallen in same situations, or rather - millions of people... But i've to disagree with the sentence - that this is a momentary difficult situation of one nation or two, or ... No it's the result of an overhauled economical and political system... and the next decades will worsing it global - unless we stop the causers and beneficiaries of this new kind of slavery... Of course that's not a solace for you... Cross my fingers... And wish you, that youll find a company that's really meriting to get you as employee...
