In 2005 and after 31 years in the brewing industry I chose "Freedom 55" and retired early. This allowed me to follow my passion of scuba diving and travel. I moved out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada for 3 years and became a professional scuba instructer.  Shortly after returning from New Zealand in the fall of 2011, I have been having to deal with a couple of non diving related medical issues which has forced me to hang up the mask and fins for a spell. This should give me more time for taking pictures...lol.

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."

Happy New Year to you too! Great postwork choices, water color-y on canvas~ It always amazed me to see clear, detailed self-portraits of famous artists as it seems most artists prefer to remain visually obscure. Years ago in a portrait drawing class, which was tough enough as it was, we had an assignment to do a self portrait which was probably the most difficult art assignment I've ever had.

This reminds me of a picture on copper of the first photo was a piece of metal fine whit some color but it was impossible to reproduce colors that appear like a bit like if you put a color photo into negative Anyway .. . A story .... ((5++))
