Description
The USS Keokuk was not a successful warship but I like the look of the whaleback hull. Composed and rendered in Poser, post-processed in Photoshop only for the smoke.
The ship is my own Keokuk ironclad. The crew is M4 and the officer Lorenzo Lorez from DAZ. The crew uniform is Slosh's Navy Uniform and the officer's is a modified version of Varsel's free Lorez US-CS Uniform. The water and backdrop is the Poser Ocean by RubiconDigital with a sunset sky from CG Textures. The gulls are from Digital-I. The smoke is preprocessed with one of Ron's Smoke brushes.

Fantastic work. This will seem strange because of all the effort you put in making the Keokuk but, I really love how you pulled off the water in your scene. It's remarkably realistic.

ejp01: The Poser Ocean hs some limitations but is a very nice and versatile model. I've used it in all my Keokuk renders so far. Here the choice of a background sky (the background prop is part of the ocean set) and the color of the lights is key. There was only a small morph setting to the water for the ripples. The ray tracing did the rest.
