Description


Used an Apollo 15 panaramic pic from Nasa. City created in CityEngine 2010 - Brought into Maya and lit - final comp in After Effects CS5. This is V2- Didn't really like the color match of the city from the first try so I retuned it a little and added the surface glint. Better, but not perfect. Hope you enjoy.

its a fake! the shadows are wrong and the lighting looks wrong and the stars are wrong. :P

@Einzelganger: Well, yeah it's fake. But I take issue with the stars looking wrong though- there are no stars. There are no stars in the original pic either (I added the Earth as well). The cameras didn't pick up the stars because of their exposure settings. Hope that helps :-) Jim
