I really like this image... the ONLY suggestions I have are about the lighting and textures. The lighting is perhaps a bit too bright - maybe dimming the atmosphere a bit would help. About the textures - a bit too "clean," maybe? Throw some dirt around - it'll make the lighthouse and fence look like they've been there for more than one day. Wonderful work! Keep it up!

Hi Alfons, Great image! I agree with Capt. Morgan. the dune grass is too straight and clean, throw some old grass on the ground and make the existing grass a bit more blown, it will add to the realism. The ground texture is excelent. I am missing the shadows of the lighthouse and fence on the environment though.

You are right about the light djdj1978, it is the gamma of my monitor, i will try to get some more dirt on the lighthouse to make it look "older". Capt morgan and Dimitri, i'm not happy about the grass either, i will try to make better grass. The shadows of the fence and the ligthouse is a real problem, i have shadows but not on the right spot, the problem is i can't import the Directlight from Max to WB. I will repost very soon, and thank you all for your helpfull comments, i appreciate this very much.

Sorry Boris forgot your question, yes the ground texture is a picture of fine sand with tiling 50 and soft edges on 0.3.

Just what I expected, it could only become better, great image !, nice place for the lighthouse, the texture on it looks perfect. The remark from Capt Morgan about the blending of the windswept trees, could it be the fact that it was rendered apart after the rest (using incremental rendering always gives an effect like this) ?

Hello Erik, you have a sharp eye because that is exactly what i did. If i try to render the whole scene with "aa render" and the grass, my system fails because WB uses too much memory. So i cheated and rendered everything except the grass, and used incremental design too do an aa render of the grass.

Hi Alfons, this updated image looks really good. Those trees look like they belong in the scene now. The grass is also good, and adds a lot to the windswept feel. Adding those seagulls was a good move, and has certaintly added to the atmosphere. Very good work. How are you finding 3.2 ? Personally, I find WB a lot better now. Much more stable and I have had no memory errors since the upgrade. I`ve tried all the things that used to cause them and so far its good news. Slightly faster rendering too. Best Regards.

WOW. This is great. I just love the entire scene. The lighthouse model is also fantastic. I come from Denmark were the entire western coast is made of huge sanddunes covered with grass and this image REALLY looks like it. You should make that lighthousemodel downloadable!
