Schlimme Geschichte, die Du hier erzählst. Das Bild bringt sehr gut die Emotion rüber. Besonders die Textur und die Mimik gefallen mir.

Wirklich sehr emotional ... eine verrückte Welt, in der wir leben!

Very strong picture ,dear Ute! Makes me think of Bebe's song "Malo"! Here in France it is the same , as last year 157 women died, beaten to death by their husbands.
renecyberdoc
wow i thought spain was bad in this domain. compared to france, france population +-65 millions 157 victims spain +-46 millions victims 60 i just took the numbers to show and for a moment i was not thinking of the victims. this is a disgusting behavior in a so called civilised world.

A stunning portrait and message !

Women should be permitted to carry knives and a gun. Self protection from brutal hubbies..Knife can be used while they sleep..

Lol @ Vita, we can also do it, when they are asleep, with a big pillow!!!!

an ugly world indeed!

Une image émouvante sur un sujet dramatiquement grave, sans doute toute une culture de la force et du pouvoir (même à l'intérieur d'un couple!) qui serait à revoir!

A very sad world indeed, but you did a marvelous job at bringing the problem out of the shadows Ute. Spain does not have a monopoly on abuse against women. There is the same sad story in every country in the world. There is no real easy solution to this, but penalties for such abuse should definitely become far more severe than they are. The bad part is in the heat of the moment abuses are not thinking rationally so they would not stop to think about consequences before beating their wife/girlfriend.

Very nice work on this sad and powerful image Ute. There is never any reason for a man to strike a lady.

An honest, but sad commentary on how human mates choose to show their "love" for each other. It's too bad we don't teach our children from birth that if someone, even someone who professes love, hurts you with their fists or even their words, they don't respect you or love you. They use you and you use them to fill a need, and sometimes that need can be something totally opposite of what you think it is... Love doesn't hurt, it is the most honest and beautiful thing any creature can feel or desire... those who say "I love you" and then strike you are monsters to be feared and never trusted. Any man who beats his wife should be executed in public without a reprive, he is a complete coward and deserves no mercy... and a parent who beats a child should have his hands removed and forced to feel as vunerable as the one he has attacked. Death to tyrants, wherever they dwell and whoever they are. An excellent portrait of horror here dear Ute... this exhibits the dark far better than I ever could. Seth

And sometimes, that small woman can snap & turn. And all the fear, rage & the pain built up over the years can come pouring out. Raining revenge on the perpetrator. What a look of shock on his face. Just before you smash it & give him a taste of his own medicine...

Beaucoup de sensibilité dans ton image, Ute, et du courage aussi!
