Description
The willow twigs remind of pencil lines, hence the title. I even highlighted them a bit.
It's still unusually warm and no snow yet. The weather seems to be breaking all records, especially in mid-and north-Russia.
Wait and see.

There are so many things to like about this! I love the verticals of the branches, the horizontal sidewalks, the arc formed by the central trees, the position of the rider, the look of winter with the feel of spring. Everything about this makes me want to walk there, to reach up and touch the overhanging branches, to be at home in a monochromatic world. This is engaging and compelling ... a moment in time that happens to LOOK just right. Outstanding capture, my friend!

Great feel to go for a ride on the bike or just a walk in the park ... Alone with your thoughts and the mood you are in - getting carried away, it almost adds another dimension. I'm glad to read, that you actually have some mild Winter weather! BB

It looks like an organic cathedral with the arcs and the light. There's such tranquility in the image, which is set off nicely by the contrast with the biker. Great capture.

A lovely capture of this beautiful scene and my eye is drawn right into it and down that path and through the trees. The willow branches do look like pencil lines. I bet this looks very pretty in the summer. I'm glad to hear that you are having a mild winter so far.

This is quite brilliant and for some reason I'm thinking of all sorts of cinematic things when I see this shot. I got Solaris for Christmas, and so maybe I'm just enjoying a bit of a Tarkovsky afterburn...always a good thing, if you ask me. Anyway, as for this nicely composed and captured shot: I love it. I'm always amazed at the timelessness in your photography and other visual art. It's always difficult for me to place a particular time or place, and that's always such an appealing thing as each piece (like this one) opens up in so many unexpected ways. This is quite brilliant. As for the weather, it seems odd everywhere. Chicago is having warmer than normal temperatures, and today (January 5th) I saw a small, rather lethargic cloud of gnats! Imagine that! Active [insomniac] insects in what's supposed to be the dead of winter?
