UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Stunning work Bill. God Bless.

Soft water... the water in the sky (clouds) or the water lapping at the beach? Falling through the first is soft, but hitting the latter from a height isn't soft. The title leaves a lot to think about. The photo is great. Color digital converted to black/white? Or black/white film? It would be interesting to take a scene and shoot it with negative film and with digital, and then compare the two. IF I can get my scanner to work, I could and would do it. It's something I often wondered about during the 1990s. Keep up the good work. This is interesting. Greetings to Tara. :-) Ever wonder why I sign :-) instead of :) ? Because a T.Rex has a snout between his eyes and his "smiling" lips!

Such a shame it seems to be too chilly to swim in your neck of the woods....almost irresistible!

It makes me want to take my shoes off and run barefoot - great massage for the soles and soul, one can't really tell from this, whether it is Winter in your neck of the woods? it's cool ;) BB

Great black and white shot of everything, including those cool clouds, Bill. And what is all this neck of the woods stuff used by some of the commentors above?

Ah, the driftwood fields...I love this beach! Beautiful shot, and there seems to be very few ripples or waves, quiet tide time?

An excellent title for this lovely capture as it does look so soft and beautiful. A very calm day with hardly a ripple on the water.

The clouds and driftwood are accentuated in B&W. I do like the glassy look to the water’s surface!
