Description
The instructions for this week's tutorial resulted in an almost monochrome sepia image, which had its own charm, but I started to play with colours, and so my product looks rather different from the assignment. I also skipped the vignette section in the compositor because I already know how to make a vignette and I don't think this picture needs one. This week we learned a lot about reflections, tricks with the compositor, shadeless materials, different ways of putting a sun in your image, and particle systems.

This has a wintery feel, like a lake scene I remember from when I went to seminary (to be an interpreter - didn't last) in Bogenhofen near Braunau in Austria. The colours are really well-done, Nanette! As is the scene. Is the water a shader like one can do in Poser?

Lovely!

Thank you David and Robyn. I was probably influenced by wintry mornings in Mpumalanga near Lydenburg where my father had a trout farm.

A beautiful scene and how lovely that you can take lessons to learn how to use this software as you will pick up so many tricks. Excellent work and colouring.

Thank you so much Ines and npauling. The lessons are helping enormously, but I am also discovering many excellent free resources and tutorials.
