Description

This was in the city of Kabul. While visiting the Kabul museum, I stopped to take a picture of the old royal palace, across the street from the museum, that was destroyed when the Soviets were battled in the streets of Kabul. One boy saw me, it was a school holiday, and placed himself in front of my camera, and within seconds, this whole group charged over and this is how the photo-shoot of the old palace went. Cute kids! I love the old palace building ... what an elegant bit of architecture! Seeing these shots from your trip, I'm struck by the lack of women out in public. It's one thing to hear about that culture, but another to see only men on the streets. Mind boggling!
