Lighting is very difficult and I am one of those who have constant problems. I think that your scene looks fantastic however. Shadows look good, everything is visible, and the "action" in scene setting is interesting and detailed. Well done......I like it very much.

Wow...I've been contemplating doing a Tavern image. Just haven't yet found the time to sit and work on it. I really like this, nice job and thank you.

This render caught my eye immediately! Excellent job of this!!!!!!! Nope, dont you dare make this your last time using lots of radials, your work will take a step backward... I am the ultimate lighting critic. As one who has mastered the basics of lighting, I can tell you that your multiple radial approach is EXACTLY RIGHT! I mean let's be honest, material ambience glow tends to flatten the render and looks fake. Material glow is not reliable for realism. Overuse of ambience is a big part of what sucks in so many Bryce renders. The only way to make truly convincing indirect light (without using TA) is with a cluster of radials just as you have done it here. Scrap the material glow completely, save it for hot objects. Room temperature objects rarely need to ambience glow. If you are using Bryce 7, there is a tool called the 3D Fill which is basically designed to so what you are seeking to do here but the 3d fill is a single light comprised of multiple virtual point radials a lot like an IBL, but you can fit it into a room. There are examples of scenes on Share CG to train you on how to do this stuff. If you are really interested in maximizing lighting, send me a site mail letting me know you are serious and I will start sending you the things you need to get there. Have a quick look at my gallery, in particular "Open House." It was lit using a network of floating radials instead of glowing materials and the result is pretty realistic for Bryce. The render time is not fast mind you, but the results will last for years so I worry less about render time and more about quality. Great work here, keep it up!!!!!!!!!

I too have problems using the lighting in Bryce,it just never seems bright enough to see every thing in the scene or it's so bright that it washes parts out. but you have got the light right on with this, an excellent piece of work from the lights to all of the detail you have put into this. and I have to agree with rashadcarter DO NOT stop doing what you have done here!!!!
