Description

A shadow graffiti writer sprays a bird and a cat on a freshly re-painted wall in downtown Padova. I saw it just round a corner, a yellow and black surprise and a touch of humor in a wearier and wearier city. I hope they don't cover it too soon. Thanks for your kind comments.

Graffiti is such a strange beast: so much of it is absolutely marvelous, quirky, creative, and in the case of this piece, extremely intelligent! I happen to make distinctions between certain types of graffiti, and this is what I'd classify as art. It would be a crime to cover it, I think. I love the way you captured this; it reveals the whole piece in all of its quirky glory and you've brought out the colors and a bit of its surrounding environment incredibly well...spot on perfectly, in fact! I'm now curious to see if there are more such gems around! This is compelling and so well seen/presented. I rather like the logic of it...the graffiti guy spraying graffiti that also happens to provide a convenient place for a cat. Brilliant! Thank you for immortalizing this!
