Just in the "Nick" of time for Orthodox Christmas...
BOY: Santa, what's keeping us, and all the presents, from falling out of the sleigh?
SANTA CLAUS: Don't worry, we can't fall. But... We're flying through the air, being pulled along by eight tiny reindeer, and THAT is the part that seems odd to you?
This was my entry for the 2011 "Holiday Dreams" contest. I thought I would challenge myself with something more boy-oriented for a change. I know I wouldn't mind going for a little ride.
Well... Another year, another non-winner. One of these days!! Maybe next time, I will try an animation. I had better start VERY early.

Aw, this is both beautiful and cute. The quality of the image - sharp, crisp on the sleigh and characters and the out of focus background are really great. And the little boy's wonderings about falling out of what he perceives as the steady "ground" under his feet. So typical for a child's way of thinking. I don't see why this hasn't won anything (but, I haven't seen the other contest entries). Keep up the good work! :-)
