this is the river that passes Dallas and under the Margaret Hunt bridge that I have posted before.this photo is about 50 miles SE of Dallas when it floods it can be 2-3 miles wide in places

Thats how rivers are that have not been hemmed in by high banks, and also how great "bottomland" comes to be for the best crops! I hope they leave it in its natural state. People should adjust and not build on floodplains, waterways exist best in nature's design for the animals and plants that depend on them. Side note... Zane Gray, the great western writer, had this river in a story.
