Description

This is Mia. She was trapped by someone that wanted a "pet fox". This is illegal. When she was brought to me by the state, she had not eaten for 4 days. She cried and looked for her mommy for a week. I have alot of people say that they just love little animals and want to do this. They have not sat and cried with a baby for a week. Sometimes they grieve themselves to death. She did makeit and was released with a male that came in later. They are still seen together.

very cute fox and superb shot.I recently seen where some people are "domesticating" a silver fox in Russia.I also read the on the net yesterday that "dogs" are not domesticated, but learned to tolerate humans and use them for sustenance

Thanks so much for the photo and the truthful reality of wanting wild animals for pets...in my are it is illegal to keep ANY wild animal or even collect feathers of wild birds such as hawks. Anyone with the animals must be licensed to do so and is generally for the purpose of rehab and release when possible. Thanks again.

Adorable photo and touching story. I don't know how your heart can balance all the highs and lows that must come from your most noble work. Your efforts are most appreciated by this nature and animal lover! - God Bless

The poor baby, how can people do that. Not only take they away a baby from its mother but also a mother from a baby. If they would than at leas would keep and care for the animal but once they grow big they just get rid of them and find a new baby animal. Heartless people who do such a thing. I am so pleased to hear that she is doing well and I ADMIRE you for what you do to help anmals such a the little fox.

Why do people do this, I agree they don't know the devastating effects to these wonderful animals. So glad it was a good outcome.

All babies are cute, which is great for photography, but not so great when people want "cute" in their house! Nice image ... the upraised paw is the finishing touch.
