Description

Everyone grab hold of something and dont fall over, yep Raddar just stuck his head back into Renderosity. Man it's been a while since I've been around here, and believe it or not I've missed you guys. Hope the holidays were kind to everyone, (Mike, Rod, you guys get any coal in your stockings???) And hope everyone had an amazing New Years Eve. A while back I started laying off Poser and got into audio/video editing, and started tinkering with machinima productions. For those that don't know, machinima is taking 3d models used in video games, and using the game engine they were created for to produce animated videos. Toss in a long span of time taken to learn After Effects, (a program I am still paying for and have only scratched the surface on), and you have what has pretty much occupied my free time for quite some time. This is a promotional image for the first machinima video I finished. It was planned as a means to learn the ropes rather than a project I was going to post. But after all that work, yeah I'm posting it. Now time to start on the project I had in mind when I jumped into this medium. A feature length movie. BTW if anyone is interested in voicing one of the characters let me know, theres a full cast to pick from. At any rate if you decide to check out the vid I hope you enjoy it, its available at http://warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=207611 Take care gang.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn, it's good to see a post from you, Roy!! It's been WAAAY to long, buddy! But I understand why - you're working with Machinima?? That's AWESOME! I've seen some of thier cinematic trailers for SW The Old Republic.....completely blows me away! And this art work completely blows me away, buddy - this just kicks 57 kinds of a$$! Hey - you remember that compound bow prop you sent me? You'll be pleased to know G4 used it to shoot down an alien probe in the TNA saga - so G4 sends along her compliments! LOL! Hope you had an awesome Christmas, and I hope your 2012 is filled with prosperity, fun and lots of cool stuff! Now, I've gotta go check out that video! Don't stay away so long, Bro! :-D

just watched the video... It all looks really good.... you said these characters are designed for game, so they're not going to give you alot as far as a range of facial features? It's been a long time since I heard Nickleback, so when the music played I recognized the voice, but hadn't heard the song before - so, your animation just introduced me to that song - I like it. I like your movement with your band, the drummer beat on the skins in sync - but he was standing - if he was sitting, I think it would of looked better. I like your dance rutine with the singer, but felt he was just moving his jaw up and down - would love to see emotion, camera zooming in on his face, eye squints, adams apple vibrating on tough screaming lines.... I like how your guitarest spun his guitar - just once, glad it wasn't over done cause the one time sticks in your head. I liked the first shot of the crowd with the spotlight going down the line... I liked the feel of being in the crowd and seeing the stage - I think you should of used that more... I would of liked to have seen you zoom in on a few girls in the crowd singing to the song and crying, maybe even passing out... When you showed the three girls behind the stage and they came walking out, I was expecting something - you built them up and then their time to shine, you see one of them im the back as the camera went back to the singer... I like these characters and at the same time, I feel they're too game characterish.... would of loved to see emotion.... on a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give you a high 9 - I did like it alot and may go and watch it again.... to get that one more point, I'd go back over my comment and see all the things I mentioned = if you can edit your video, I'd just make a few changes. as far as the voice help, I seem to never have enough time for my own projects, but animation is something I really need to push myself to get into.... I have a rough voice and at present, I have had a cold the last two weeks - coughing a lot. but I might be up for it - sight mail me with your ideas.

LOL!!! Nice image buddy and OMG!! This video is REALLY AWESOME Roy! The sound tracks seems slightly off in some places but other than that it is AMAZING! Hey, is there a way for me to get a copy of that video to keep on my PC? Just for personal viewing from time to time? Sorry it took me so long to comment. I wanted to wait until I had time to watch the video and give it the time it deserves. Great work Roy!
