Description
one of my favorite times growing up was going to
Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, they had an old
time saloon stage coach etc... and the old time atmosphere of the saloon you could close your eyes and imagine yourself back in the gold rush era... but I found myself wanting to show the bittersweet moments... to us this era was a wild exciting period of history, so we sometimes forget just how hard it was for the settlers but even harder for the youngwoman who might find herself trapped in this life... once a woman got into this living she was litterally trapped into a very small world... Because so called decent folk litterally shunned these women and anytime
she might be out if she ran accross them she pretty much had to either leave or pick a time the decent folk wouldn't be about
but anyway I tried to capture a moment of sad reflection upon my dancehall girl...
wasn't totally happy with how the shadows reflected on her skin but oh well

Oh, I love her facial expression, those sad sad eyes - you've captured it perfectly!
