My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

Wonderful, Tara! another fine example of cross-pond confusion, I love it!

I always liked the words describing the difference between a rooster and a lawyer...the rooster clucks defiance.

Very cool sign Tara. the definitions are different to say the least
MrsRatbag
Great sign! But it can work either way...

Just imagine, that really does happen - blood & bone is a wonderful manure for my garden, I use it regularly ;) (not many Solicitors left around here, where I live!) BB

Ha! This is SO FUNNY! It doesn't matter if it means "lawyers" (too many of them!) or "barker"! But door-to-door salespeople are a vanishing breed. The idea of composting - does that suggest having them kick the bucket first? And then deep-sixed? This gives rise to a lot of funny idiomatic expressions. I'm glad you posted this - it gave me a good laugh! And, it sure attracts attention! Keep up the good work! :-)

Sounds like the sort of cross pond confusion that nearly got a friend of mine in trouble in a restaurant, something about Pitcher's and Jugs.

I really like this shot alot. Not quite sure what it means, as I can only translate to the lawyer. HA, the other word, google just wont translate. Ahh well. :) Excellent shot anyway. :)

Great find Tara and great comment. Either way, whether it is someone that wants to sell you something you don't or someone that wants to make money out of a molehill I like to have sign like this!
RodS
LOL! It seems to apply in both cases equally well! That would make a great addition to the one on my front door! Cool shot, Tara!
jophoto
Salespeople...solicitors...composting would be a good idea either way! Haha!
