It was as if a light had dawned in Damara's mind and she finally understood what a complete and utter vile creature her brother was. It had all been beginning to wear thin on her, but now it was fully exposed. She'd let him and his hatred influence her most all her life. Looking back now, she suspected that he'd glamoured her more than a few times to get her to agree with all the vile, unspeakable things he'd done...not just to others, but to her as well. And she'd taken it and assisted in his machinations!! That was the sad part. She wondered if she could ever make amends for any of what had been done. She'd been drinking too much and she knew that, but that wasn't the source of her sadness and despair now. The fact that she was even considering trying to make amends both pleased and surprised her. It was a step in getting herself free from this place and her brother. Nevertheless she was seething inside at Mog and wanted in the worst way to do to him what he'd done to several others who had been nothing but good to him. The Finns never really treated them badly when they were their house-slaves back in the day. Connor Madath-Aliuth had trusted Mog enough to tell him even his deepest secrets and treated him almost like a son, but Mog was full of deceit and his own ambitions. He'd managed to fool even the great sorcerer and Wolf King of the Fey. The best way to wreak havoc on his plans was to go over to the other side...but would they even let her within sight of any one of them? She decided on a course and took herself to the altar room, taking her crystal ball down from one of the niches there. Damara closed her eyes, reaching out to Kyli, whose happiness she had so gleefully taken from her. The unbinding spell, which was said backwards was recited as she held Kyli's image in the crystal. "I'm releasin' ya, Kyli. I made ya question an' fear Morgan. Mog told me to.... I'm soooo sorry, lass. Please...please let me come to ya. I'm defectin' an' I mean that sincere. I don' know how ta prove it, but I am. I know things that may be of help. Tell them...tell them not ta harm me an' I'll tell them this information. After that I just wanta go far away somewheres else where noone knows me an' start over - maybe ta the continent. I want ya ta be happy, Kyli. Tis what I want too. Please forgive me, Kyli. Marry yer man. He's a good man - not like I told ya. So mote it be...forgive me." It would be a big risk, but she was going. If one of them killed her on sight, she probably deserved it. Damara went back upstairs, taking her goblet and crystal ball with her. She'd pack a few clothes and leave this night. Mog wouldn't notice.
