Description

"CR1 to control." John Jacobs sends back confirmation from the control hub inside OGH 2. "Ken, you ready? Ken replies, "Whenever you are; we're all ready here." John looks over his shoulder to where Amy sits. "Ok, Amy start your test." Amy nods then turns to the screen that hangs in front of her and taps the final sequence to intiate the unit wide pressure test . Ken watches from outside in the cr1 work craft as massive amounts of atmospheric gasses are being released from hundreds of gas ports all across the massive station, As he watches the digital gages, the same ones the crew inside are watching, He notices that he is holding his breath. He chuckles to himself. "What is it?" Eric says to him. "Nothing." ken says in response. "It's going to be fine, Ken." Eric says," Everything checked out. "The plex is ready for this." "I know." Ken replies. Yet he knew inside that this is the largest pressurization test mankind has ever done in space and thousands of people all across the planet are watching. They hear John's voice come over the speaker "We are at 8 millibars. Everything is still a go." Ken knew that if there was a problem they could handle it. The station was equipped with multiple automated hatches that would shut to protect the station if a compartment lost pressure, yet, knowing that the hard work over the last two years was riding on a clean pressure up, and that it meant so much to see this go over without a hitch to so many people, it made him feel a little on edge. Suddenly, Ken's eyes blink in response to a new element as the test proceeded. It takes him by surprise! The windows to the cr1 started lighting up and the automated darking proceedure had begun. But, as he stood for a moment, a beautiful orange glow incompassed the control panels in the craft and he hears John's voice once more, "10 millibars everyone! And the sun rises!" he says with some excitement. Ken turns and looks at Eric, who is looking back at him, and he smiles.

Very nice modeling work. I've always been frustrated by Bryce's "stars" backgrounds, but you've got enough going on in this to make it work pretty well.
