Well for those who like to know more about me this is it. My real name is Ed van Dalen. I live in the Netherlands, in Rotterdam to be precise. I was born in 1962 in that same city. This site (Renderosity) is a great place to be and I enjoy being here very much. A little explanation for the picture. Someone at the site gave me the idea for this logo when he linked my name with the name of the rockband Van Halen.  There is a resemblance with their logo but I gave it my personal twist with the mouse in the rings to make the connection to computer art.
BIO
As I told in the intro I'm dutch. I work as a service mechanic for 21 years now and since recently as a freelance digital artist. I am not a die hard computer artist because I started only about a year ago with this kind of art. I have been painting pin-ups for a lot of years until I visited a bookmarket where I found a book about 3d digital rendered figures. From then on I was hooked. It took until May this year (2005) before I had the nerve to post my first image. I'm glad I did though cause since then I got to know a lot of wonderful people who gave me the confidence to carry on with my art. This site has made my world so much bigger and I thank everyone who comes and visit it.

excellent art/ posing/ character/ props/ render... The way she looks so relaxed is what I like the best in this... I also love the TV Guide with Star Trek... I remember that cover. every now and then my Mom would buy the TV Guide - I remember talking her into that one and I was so excited to read about star trek and if I remember right, that article in that book is when I found out Star Trek was being cancelled. Bummer - the story was so far ahead of it's time... I don't think we'd have cell phones today if it weren't for the Communicator.... I recently have found a station that plays the old Star Trek and have been watching them again the last 3 weeks.... it's probably been a good 20 or more years since I've seen the old series, and they still look great... what freaks me out, is man had just discovered what earth looked like from space - when they show the ship circling a planet, the planets look great - a detail I didn't really catch when I was younger.

Back to the 70's..as a matter of fact, when I was visting houses in order to buy one, I visted one which was stuck in the 70's...wallpapers, everything was from 70 something, enormous orange flowers, apple green wall...ugly !!! You're image is not, it's wonderful.
