Description

Scanned from a 4X6 Matte finish photo. My old Nikon 2020 contained an automatic wind. In time I experienced trouble with that feature and when a 36 print roll was used, the drag towards the end of the roll would sometimes leave streaks in the image. This was one such image, and so I've used a healing brush to eliminate those streaks. The one through the sky wasn't so bad to fix. The one through the Hoodoos, that was a challenge! I have to say, "what a useful tool"! Have also applied a quick mask on the sky and played with some filters to try and deal with the Matte finish noise. To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed the last image below. thumb_2289051.jpg

The full view looks pretty good! Like the Hoodoo that looks like a two prong fork! :~) A great weekend to all!

I agree with Richard, wow! I really like the contrast of those shadowy areas and the jagged surface of those rocks against the azure sky.

I love this shot. I love how the pines on the cliff top look like sentinels guarding this sacred site. I can see them staring down at me, challenging me for being there, in winter, when the place should be at rest. A great job adjusting the sky, it still feels real to me, knowing this place as I do and how the intensity of the blue always makes the sandstone orange cliffes look so rich and grand.
