Description

A wonderful evening of wassailing and mumming spent at Barley Wood walled garden near Bristol last night. This wonderful effigy, a version of the green man, was hanging above the stage looking down on us all, great folky and quirky music going on under his gaze.We had a flaming torch led procession to the orchard to bless the apple trees in time honoured tradition, and plenty of cider based food and drink, whats not to like?. Since last night i have been glued to a wonderful book that some of you may be interested in, its called England in particular, a fascinating book compiled by Sue Clifford and Angela King of a set up called Common Ground who are based in Shaftesbury, Dorset Contains all manner of Quirkiness.
