Description

This is a rework of an old image. I redid it after an inquiry for a book cover. While the original was okay-ish, I wanted to take another stab at giving the client a really striking image, using all the knowledge I've gained since shooting and post-working the original image. I also went with a darker overall look to the image and I think this one is a lot moodier. It's always interesting to see how one's taste changes over the years :) Anyway, so this is my second take on this shot and this is the original PLEASE don't steal this image! I worked really really hard on it. Models: Eswee Kruger and Wendy Kemp More info about the shoot here Thanks in advance for all comments, favourites and watches. Even if I don't reply and say thanks to all of them, I really appreciate all the feedback you guys give me. All images are copyright (c) Johann Marx. The original has the flavor of a fashion shoot where this one comes across as very dark and moody. To be honest I'm much more enamored of this one than the original. I don't usually comment much on photography but this was eye catching even in the thumb.

So this was not re-shot, just post is different? I would think so, the posing is EXACTLY the same. This result is MUCH better. The dark/light contrast makes it much more striking. Her eyes really stand out here.

The only hard part about commenting on your photos is that I tend not to notice the spectacular work you've done because I'm too busy drooling over the models you use!

Way much better and more marketable. The shadow depth is superb and the amount of black now makes the models really pop. Their skin tones are pure porous here.
