This is a bit of an update. From humble beginnings my photography is steadily improving.I started out with a Kodak point and shoot camera and progressed to a Sony A-200 Digital SLR camera.Other equipment that i currently have is the following: Tamron 70-300mm lens. This trick is to get a focus lock on the bird, usually easy with seagulls if you spot them coming in, but almost impossible with swallows that dart around like dragonflies.

I agree with the above friends but it is still a nice shot we can't be perfect everytime.

@CHEAT' Don't chase the bird - Bring the bird to you.Feed it. As it come's toward's you focus on it ( Sport's setting ) and rapid shoot. The focus will auto adjust. You get some rubbish but the good pic's make it worth while. Hope this help's.

Always very difficult to have time to choose a specific click on bird and close enough lol .... But hey. nice catch anyway.
