Description


The headlong flight from the Castle had left Charlotte breathless, she ducked down amongst some bushes to catch her breath and looked back at the Castle. Her leaving had seemingly gone unoticed. Night was falling, heavy snow laden clouds hung low in the sky. The nearest village was three, maybe, four miles distant and she was not sure of the way. Should she slip back into the Castle before she was missed and continue a life of serfdom and servitude or make good her escape, for better or worse? In the far distance she heard the Wolves start to howl....
