From Lens - Unsafe at any distance. Along the same grim outlook I'm sorry to say. It makes a change not have the ambient shadow off. I'm still not sure if it looks better turned on it's side 90degrees left. For info only Scaled down from a 4000 x 4400 image about 16 mins to render RS multiplier 0.06 SW limiter 0.3 stepcount 12 smooth normals 3 I hear of really long render times like overnight but this is about the longest I've had. Am I missing something out or doing something wrong? Cool tweak, nice job. Render time is directly related to the Formulas and Transforms used, some are very complex and slow and some are not. DE Combinates are notoriously Slow as well as any Fromula using Triplex Math and of course Reflections are Slow. It also depends on the machine, I run a P4HT, not even a true dual core at 3Ghz, dual core is faster, quad core even faster so on and so on. My average Render is 30 min to an hour but some are 4 to 5 hours and of course it depends on render settings, using these params and your settings it would take about 4 hours on my machine. Peace
