Description

Thursday, January 19, 2012 21:30/9:30 PM Here come another night photo. On leaving choir practice yesterday evening, I found it was snowing hard. By the time I got home 25 minutes later, there had fallen some 3 cm. (1 1/4 inch). The amount that's fallen can be clearly seen accumulated on the bicycles. My foot steps in the snow coming home have already been obliterated after less than 5 minutes. I decided to get my camera and take a few photos outside my building. This was the best of the 4 photos (my hand were so cold I could scarcely use the camera). The snow flakes nearest the camera are reflecting the flash. Here it's quite plain that no two snow flakes are the same! The windows in the background are the local library which had a program going yesterday evening. And this morning, all the snow had been turned to slush, and now the ground is bare and wet with an occasional treacherous ice patch.

This is something I have never experienced. I really like that glow, hope of warmth from the cold. Thanks! Clive

Like all the falling snow...it adds action to an otherwise quiet scene. The soft light from the library windows makes a great backdrop. Keep up the good work my friend.
