Description

After the after rescue party, Zoggle asked Zlata if she would like to go out with him. Zlata felt a lovely warm glow pass over her & told Zoggle she would love to. "Ok" said Zoggle "Come round to mine tomorrow & we will go out" Zlata was a bit dissappointed as she thought when you went out on a date the boy usually came & picked you up. I also think she is right. The next day before she went to meet Zoggle, she asked Jasmine if she thought Zoggle should call for her. Jasmine told her that as far as she had heard but she didn't know from experience, that if you were going on a date it was nice if the boy came for you. "Never mind" Zlata said to Jasmine "I am sure it will be a nice day out." "Where is he taking you" Jasmine asked. "He didn't say" was the reply. "Perhaps the fair, the pictures, or a nice stroll would be nice" Zlata dreamed. "Well enjoy yourselves" said Jasmine as Zlata set off to Zoggles. She arrived to find Zoggle waiting for her, lantern in one hand, wood sack in the other. "Have you forgotten we are going out today?" she asked him "No I am ready" Zoggle replied. "BUT you have your sack for collecting wood" she replied. "Well I need them if we are going to collect wood" was Zoggles reply. "WHAT" shouted Zlata. "That is our date" Zoggle looked worried because of the way Zlata had spoken "But I asked you to come out with me" "Yes BUT you for got to mention anything about collecting wood" cried a dissappointed Zlata. "Sorry" said an embarrassed Zoggle, "Maybe go out tomorrow" "I will think about it" shrugged Zlata. Unbeknown to Zlata, Jasmine was looking on, hoping that Spot dog didn't see her. She had followed her as she wanted to make sure she was alright. From what she saw she thought the little dollie would need some special looking after when she got her home. Poor Zlata, so excited to be going on a date but Mr. Buck thought it might end in tears. Wonderful story and excellent scene Barbara. That is what happens with a brealdown in communication. Zlata assumed he meant something he didn't and ended up with hurt feelings. Poor Zwoggle might really like her but the embaressment of this could cause him to not ask her on a real date.

I think that Zoggle is a good looking boy but with his dating techniques – he is going to be a bachelor for the rest of his life. :o) I am also proud of Jasmine, following along to make sure Zlata was safe. You are a wonderful teacher Barbara as well as a great photographer/artist!
